The Mission

Founded over 200 years ago by freed slaves, Monrovia, Liberia, is a city with a complex history and a present reality that is difficult to fathom. Today, it stands as the poorest capital city in the world. The poverty is so extreme that over 90% of its residents do not own a pair of shoes.

But where the world sees poverty, we see a harvest field. In late February, we will be embarking on a mission to this city to pour into the leaders who are standing on the front lines of the Gospel in Liberia.

The Work

The journey to Monrovia is long—taking over 24 hours and several flights to reach—but the mission is vital. We are heading there to conduct a teaching and training conference for over 150 local pastors.

These men are the shepherds of their communities, often serving with very few resources and little to no formal training. By equipping them with the tools for intentional disciple-making, we aren't just reaching 150 men; we are reaching the thousands of people they lead. Our goal is to provide them with a solid biblical foundation so they can return to their congregations and "take men alive for Christ."

Your Role

A mission of this scale requires a significant investment. We aren't just traveling to teach; we are responsible for the housing and the meals for every pastor who attends the conference. For many of these leaders, this conference is a rare opportunity to be fed both spiritually and physically.

In Mark 12 and Luke 21, Jesus tells the story of the widow’s mite. He reminds us that the focus isn't on the size of the gift, but the heart behind it. Whether you are able to give $25, $50, or $500, please know that 100% of your gift goes directly to serving these pastors and meeting the needs of the Liberian people.

Join Us in Prayer

I would like to invite you to be a part of this journey through two specific ways:

  1. Pray for the Journey: Please pray for our travel—that the 24-hour journey would be smooth and that we would arrive ready to serve.
  2. Pray for the Fruit: Pray that the seeds planted during this conference would bear "much fruit" in the churches of Liberia for generations to come.

Support the Trip

Your generosity ensures that these 150 pastors are equipped to change their nation.
